Upon Arrival at New Delhi airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our staff and after refreshment you will board in to another connecting flight bound to Varanasi. Upon arrival at Varanasi airport you will be received by our team and get transfer straight to Varanasi hotel. En-route stop to visit the Sarnath a holy place of Buddhist religion at where Lord Buddha preached his first sermon to his disciples. Also explore Dhameka Stupa, Deer park and the Archaeological museum. Overnight stay in Varanasi.
Start you day with the early morning boat ride on the River Ganges, witnessing the spiritual ambiance and sunrise along the ghats. Afterwards come back to hotel for breakfast and proceed to the next destination Bodhgaya which takes around 6 hours to reach. Here visit the sacred Mahabodhi temple where Buddha gets the enlightenment under the Bodhi tree. Also explore the 80feet state of Lord Buddha and the international monasteries close to the temple campus. Overnight stay at hotel in Bodhgaya.
After breakfast you will proceed to Rajgir, upon reaching Visit the Gridhkutta (Vulture’s Peak), where Lord Buddha preached many important discourses, and the Peace Pagoda built by Japanese Buddhists. Also see Bimbisara’s Prison and Venuvana Monastery. After lunch, continue to Nalanda, the ruins of the ancient Nalanda University, one of the world’s greatest centres of learning in ancient times where students are coming across the globe in the 5th century. The site is closely associated with Lord Buddha, Lord Mahavir, and the Chinese scholar Hiuen Tsang. After the sightseeing you will be driven straight to Vaishali for overnight stay.
After breakfast at hotel, explore the important Buddhist landmarks of Vaishali, including the Ashokan Pillar, Relic Stupa and World Peace Pagoda. After lunch, drive to Kushinagar, one of the most sacred Buddhist destinations. Visit the Mahaparinirvana Temple, marking the place where Lord Buddha attained final liberation, and the Ramabhar Stupa, where Lord Buddha was cremated. Overnight stay in Kushinagar.
After breakfast, check out and drive to Lumbini which is located in the neighbour country of India called Nepal (here for the Nepal you need double-entry Indian visa and single-entry Nepal visa required). On arrival, check in at the hotel and have lunch. Visit Lumbini Garden, the birthplace of Lord Buddha, also visit the Maya Devi Temple and Ashokan Pillar. Later, proceed toward Sravasti, stopping en route at Kapilvastu, where Lord Buddha spent his childhood years. Continue the drive to Sravasti and check in at the hotel. Overnight stay in Sravasti.
After breakfast, explore the ancient city of Sravasti, once the capital of the Kosala Kingdom. Also known as Saheth–Maheth, Sravasti is the place where Lord Buddha spent 24 rainy seasons and performed many miracles. Visit Jetavana Monastery, the sacred Ananda Bodhi Tree and Den Maha Mongkol Temple. Overnight stay in Sravasti.
After breakfast, drive toward Agra (approx. 540 km / 10 hours). En route, stop at Sankasia, the sacred site believed to be where Lord Buddha descended from heaven after preaching to his mother. Visit the pilgrimage area and Bisari Devi Temple. Continue the drive to Agra. On arrival, check in at the hotel. Overnight stay in Agra.
After breakfast, proceed for sightseeing in Agra. Visit the iconic Taj Mahal (closed on Fridays), the epitome of love also a world heritage site, built by Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal. Later, view the majestic Agra Fort, located along the Yamuna River, showcasing the grandeur of Mughal architecture.
