Tour Itinerary

• Day 01: Arrival at Gaya – Bodhgaya

  Upon arrival at Gaya airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our staff and after shifting your luggage you will be transfer straight to the pre-booked hotel in Bodhgaya. In the afternoon explore the historical and religious sites of Bodhgaya such as Sujata village followed by the Falgu River. Later explore the 80 feet Buddha statue, sacred Mahabodhi Temple, Bodhi tree and the beautiful international monasteries. Overnight stay at hotel in Bodhgaya.

• Day 02: Bodhgaya – Rajgir – Nalanda – Vaishali

  After breakfast, check out from hotel and depart for Vaishali. En-route visit Rajgir and Nalanda both are consider as the prominent sites of Buddhism. At Rajgir, explore Gijjhakuta (Vulture’s Peak), where Lord Buddha delivered many important teachings, along with Bimbisara’s Prison and Ajatashatru Fort. Later you will continue to Nalanda, the ruins of the ancient Nalanda University which is consider as one of the greatest centre of learning in the ancient world. The university attracted scholars from across Asia, including the famous Chinese monk Xuanzang (Hiuen Tsang) etc. After the sightseeing you will proceed to visit Vaishali, one of the earliest Buddhist republics. Check in to hotel for overnight stay at Vaishali.

• Day 03: Vaishali – Kushinagar

  After breakfast you will check out from hotel and explore the sacred sites of Vaishali, where the Second Buddhist Council was held. Visit the place where Lord Buddha delivered his last sermon to his disciples, commemorated by the Ashokan Pillar. In the afternoon check out and drive to Kushinagar, the place where Lord Buddha attained Mahaparinirvana. Visit the revered Mahaparinirvana Temple, housing the reclining Buddha statue, and the Ramabhar Stupa, the cremation site of Lord Buddha. Also see the international monasteries and meditation centres established by different nations. Overnight stay in Kushinagar.

• Day 04: Kushinagar – Lumbini (Nepal)

  After breakfast, check out from hotel and drive to Lumbini which is located on a neighbour country of India called, Nepal (Here you need a double-entry Indian visa and single-entry Nepal visa to enter and exit). Upon arrival, check in at the hotel. Later visit the birthplace of Lord Buddha. Explore the Maya Devi Temple, Ashokan Pillar, Rummindei Pillar, and the sacred Pushkarini Pond, where Queen Maya Devi is believed to have bathed before Buddha’s birth. Overnight stay in Lumbini.

• Day 05: Lumbini – Sravasti

  After breakfast, check out and drive to Sravasti. Upon arrival, check in at the hotel and have lunch. Later, visit Jetavana Monastery, where Lord Buddha spent 24 rainy seasons, along with the Ananda Bodhi Tree and Angulimala Cave, associated with the famous disciple Angulimala. Overnight stay in Sravasti.

• Day 06: Sravasti – Varanasi

  After breakfast, depart for Varanasi with a packed lunch. Enjoy a scenic drive through the beautiful landscapes of northern India. On arrival in Varanasi, check in at the hotel and you evening is free to enjoy the street food and local markets of Varanasi. Overnight stay in Varanasi.

• Day 07: Varanasi – Sarnath – Bodhgaya

  Early morning enjoy the boat ride at the banks of River Ganges, witnessing the spiritual atmosphere, culture, traditions of the ancient city. Return back to hotel for breakfast. Proceed for an excursion to Sarnath, where Lord Buddha delivered his first sermon after enlightenment. Visit the iconic Dhamekha Stupa, Deer Park, and ASI Museum. After the sightseeing you will be driven straight to Bodhgaya for overnight stay.

• Day 08: Bodhgaya – Departure

  After breakfast, transfer to Gaya Airport to connect your onward flight for the onwards journey. Tour Concludes
