DALHOUSIE
The city of Dalhousie was established in the year 1854 in the state of Himachal Pradesh during the British rule in India. It is a beautiful hill station and is the gateway to the Chamba Hill State. The city is situated along the western side of the Dhauladhar Range of the Himalayas and is built on and around five hills. The city is situated around 6500 feet above the sea level and its natural beauty, stimulating air, warm sunshine and quiet surroundings add to the beauty of the landscape. Dalhousie is thoroughly entertaining with its scenic landscapes , picture perfect surroundings, ancient temples, colonial churches and other such tourist attractions.
DALHOUSIE ATTRACTIONS
Subash Baoli
Located in Dalhousie, this is a small natural spring. Once Subhash Chandra Bose spent a few days here. His name was given to this Spring to remind people of this great leader.
Jandhri Ghat
A few kilometers from Subash Baoli lays the Jandhri Ghat where the erstwhile rulers of Chamba ruled for a long time. The palace still bears the remains of the Chamba Rulers who ruled here before the advent of the British.
Panjpulla
About 2 Kms awat fro Dalhousie, Panjpulla (five bridges) is a popular tourist attraction. It has a natural pool surrounded by deodar trees. This localities is Calm and Quite and one gets piece of mind here. There are several small natural pools here that are fed by perennial streams.
Satdhara
This point is on the way to Panjpulla. It is a collection of seven natural cold water springs. The water of these springs is said to have remedial properties for skin diseases.
Bakrota Hills
Bakrota Hills provides breathtaking views of surrounding snow covered mountain peaks. One can get a panaromic view of the valley as wel. This point is quite popular among tourists and locals.
Chamba City
This is a popular destination close to Dalhousie, known for its beautiful landscape, refreshing air, mountain passes and slopes and is an ideal place for nature lovers. This city has some of the ancients temples built between the 7th and the 12th Century AD. These temples include the Laxminarayan temple, Hari Rai temple, Chamunda Devi temple and the Mani Mahesh temple.
Khajjiar 
This scenic point is around 20 Kms from Dalhousie. Khajjiar has a small lake surrounded by dense deodar forest and high mountains. The view of this place is truly breathtaking. This place also has an ancient temple devoted to Khaji Nag.
